Not too difficult - another cool cache container. Great views, this walkabout only gets better. Time for jonwills wife to have a go at using the GPSr, who then asked us to "walk this way"... so we did some funny walks, not sure if the cows were amused. Decided to take the farm route to the next one.
Took the TB.

jonwills geokids found this one, can see they're already developing a strong geosense - and this is the first time they've done it.
Another nice find filled with goodies, for the kids anyway. Great view. The clouds are providing perfect weather for this hike.

Found with jonwill + wife + geokids. Presented little difficulty, nice camo on this one. Took geocoin.
Great walk up to it but we seemed to go round the long way around the field. Geokids did swaps. Feeling good about this series so far.

jonwill and family brought us out here for their second caching trip - planned to do a picnic and then do this a few weeks ago. Since it was a cloudy grey day we did the picnic at home first then headed out for this series around 3pm.
Parked as suggested. Nice and easy find for the starter - nice to find an alternative type of micro for a change - well camoflaged. Nice area.

Noted on this cache that there was no log by TipsyTiggers, who we've been following around the Ashley Green series, and now I know why!
May I just add a recommendation to your cache description? No shorts! Everyone was wearing jeans - just as my wife advised me to do this morning - and off they darted into the undergrowth, whilst I followed, tentatively stepping over and around the holly and nettles... then back they come dashing past me to try it from another direction, leaving me to scratch up my legs slowly making my way back to the path.
We then found the geocacher trodden trail that lead down to the beautiful valley. Looked around for a bit in this dark part of the wood and eventually found by jonwill.

Well thanks for the series and nice easy hide to round it all off.
Some things I forgot to mention. jonwill had packed all our drinks and snacks but then left it behind at home and only realised once we'd reached the car park. Thankfully, lots of berries on the trail and we'd brought some water which kept us hydrated.
Also learnt a bit about the rocks from the very knowledgeable jonwill who informed us that a lot of the ground is made up of a lot of chalk and flint. Incidentally chalk holds water and acts as a storage container, which every now and then may reach capacity and it all spills over - which, he theorised, may be the reason for the flooding at Bottom Farm every 7-10 years.

Easy find for the geowife whilst one of the kids did the drunken bee dance (was it the pylon interfering with the GPSr reception?)
We all really enjoyed this series - a great hike with some great views and experiences - a very fun afternoon.
