A little bit of hunting around but then I spotted something reflecting from the trees.
Log is slighlty damp but looks like it is drying out, will survive so we didn't replace. Dog walking roamer from earlier with the slobbery dog caught up with us and like most of the locals was up for a chat - but unlike most of the locals didn't know what we were doing.
Since we could see the route from yesterday we were wondering if we were meant to double back or if there was a road, he indicated there was. He then began to recommend the Queens Head - which we said we'd been to yesterday. We told him our car was parked up the hill and our next waypoint was too (since he'd asked about the GPSr). We bid him fairwell and were on the way again.
