Great to meet everyone tonight - had a good time swapping stories and the balloon fight!

Great to finally meet Goldpot, loony londo - nice t-shirt, flower.of.life, janwise, catch up with JOSSS, discussing commuting and lunchtime caches with MartyB, FantasticCat - who couldn't find our caches, S&AT who had some good stories - we'll try and make it to Cambridge sometime.

HollyCharlie - thanks for the dumping the fox TB on us [:D] though didn't get to actually meet you, metal-bijou for the camera discussion and beestarz who kept the conversation lively and entertaining - we'll see if we can make your event next week.

Sorry we didn't get to meet everyone, hopefully next time. Thanks Goldpot!

(S&AT sorry for grabbing your coin - meant to discover, dropping back into the event...)

Nice easy find, I've passed by here a million times when I used to take this route when I used to live in Calgary and would go home at the weekends to visit family in BC. Gorgeous view, pitty so many trees were lost in the past forest fires.

Such is life and the forests will grow again!

Very sly, found it slightly away from where we originally started looking - took us 40 minutes but just before closing time. Upon finding it had a good laugh at the title - our numbers were slightly off in the end but the title gave it away!

Thought about parking and realised that a road would lead us right to this cache, so we followed the road and came across hilarious disguise - it was too obvious! We enjoyed it.

Dissapointed that several bugs listed but only one in the cache for us to find!

GPSr was playing up a bit, well it had been all day under the tree cover, I kept having to recalibrate. So I part crossed the golf course from Lido's Dare only realise there was a trail that took me round! Doh!

Cache was not too difficult to find, but I'm amazed it's stayed here so long considering it's proximity to a patch of ground which appears to have seen better days and looks like a bit like a morning after the party in the woods.

Decent size, and nice to see a cache correctly sized. No GC though, beginning to suspect this area houses a cache maggot and coin-thief which is a real shame, it's a beautiful area.

I originally intended to head to Lido's Lair after Cats Camo Cache, however as I headed towards the lake I discovered the miniature railway is not quite as 'miniature' as one might think. I could see the lake I just couldn't reach it. I ended up following the wire fence all the way to the bottom of the Lido, so I decided to go for this one first instead.

As I approached GZ I saw a few lurkers hanging around trying not to look like they were looking for something and so as I approached I said "Found it yet?" To which they then laughed and said they hadn't. It was of course smithcox!

So they were then hoping I would help them look, so as I got my cacheberry out, lo and behold one of the smithcox found it. "How did you find it then?" I enquired.
To which Mr Smithcox replied "I looked". Aah always helps!

We decided to team up and head to Lido's Lair - my last cache for the day. Great meeting and swapping stories with you guys!

Picked up Vee Dubber TB, which quite literally was 'dipped' in the cache!

Indeed _TeamFitz_ - one half anyway was here after an unsuccessful run in the Mad Bess Woods. The other half of _TeamFitz_ is in Canada due back Monday but looks to be stuck there for a little longer now thanks to one slow-burning Icelandic volcano. I'm trying to convince her to get out and log caches in BC for the _Team_.

Found after pretty much getting lost after leaving the trail and bushwhacking through the undergrowth. Cache was soon spotted though upon nearing GZ, after leaping a few small streams too - hidden quite well I though, but contents a bit soggy.

Second one of the day after a bad start. Lovely weather here, I've never been to the Lido before and was surprised to emerge from the woods, cross over green thinking I was headed to a reservoir and discover a mini railway!

Quite a few golfers around when I made the grab, but they were too much into their game (and one searching for a lost golf ball) to be interested in me. Not difficult to spot either.

Left Legoland Tie Fighter TB, took nothing. TFTC!

This was a fun cache to do. Surprisingly easy to find after getting over the the tricky stepping stones.

I did have to get my boots wet as some of the stepping stones were below the water, but my feet stayed perfectly dry. Fantastic area to visit, wonder why there are not more hidden in the immediate area?

Fun quiz solved this morning with the aid of my family and without too much Going Out Or Getting Lost If Not Good ANSWERS.

Decided to take a risk on the weather and do these mysteries together. Other half of _TeamFitz_ is in Canada currently so I brought my mum and 2 yr old nephew along to make up the team. We drove over from Bedworth and parked as suggested. Got out the car and the little monster suddenly got all upset and didn't want to go anywhere. So I dug around in my swag bag and found a small Spiderman toy and asked if he wanted it... that seemed to bring him round and we were merrily off on our way - albeit slower than usual - at the pace of a 2 yr old.

Made our way down the muddy wet track and mum complaining about her boots, which to be fair, were not really practical for this but I did warn her! Little booger was getting into it though and he had his wellies on and seemed to be enjoying the puddles. Went a bit to far at first then backtracked to the kissing gate - this was by far the muddiest part of the adventure so I carried the nephew over and let my mum get all muddied up.

We made our way through the field, what would normally take _TeamFitz_ 5 minutes took 15, but the weather was holding out and the gremlin was still in a good mood. We got to the first waypoint and the micro was located quite quickly by mum. Plugged in the coords and a moment later we were at GZ. Mum found the main cache too - this is her second find, and for the little terror this is his first - very pleased to find a cache full of goodies.

Dropped Freddy TB and nephew traded for a wrist band after being persuaded to leave the glitter behind. TFTC!

Solved this morning along with 'A Sitting Target'. It was a race against Google for my mum who supplied some of the answers to this one.

After locating the sitting target, I plugged the coords for this one as we headed back to the dirt road. Mum was feeling quite overwhelmed by all the mud and fear of rain so I asked the nephew if he wanted to go do another and he nodded and went to the gate. So I gave mum the car keys and off we headed.

Thankfully the weather held out and this trail was not as muddy as the other one but it was a little slippy. We got to GZ and so I headed to the bridge thinking this is where the micro would be located. We spent some time going up and down I bent over to look for the cache and the cache critter did the same. Then I decided to check out another nearby post and laid eyes on the final cache before finding the micro - which was found almost immediately afterwards.

Well the 2 yr old couldn't wait to get in this cache and see what was there to trade, so we traded some more items and he came away with a hulk watch and green finger puppet - left a puzzle and stretchy man. Also Took ClanKenn TB. Though we found the main cache first I did like the the idea behind the micro - this was full of water btw.

Headed back and the little booger wanted me to carry him - well he weigh's a couple of stone now, but up on my shoulders he went and we headed all the way back to the car. Thanks for a couple of splendid puzzles to do - and providing a fun adventure for my nephew!

It seems to me that the last couple of weeks, any evening I've planned to go caching after work was an evening it decided to rain. So once again I planned this evening and around 5pm - thunder and lightening and a short rainstorm, but by 5.30pm it was over and the sun was shining again!

Off I headed to Fleet Street, which is around the corner from where I am working. I headed down into the Temple where I've been once before and got to GZ then began to broaden my search for some latin. This was quite hard as I didn't trust the coords, not only because of the nature of the hint but because of the London effect which does strange things to my GPSr.

I struggled to find anything that fit the clues, so I then began to take a bit of a tour around the Temple area using the information points as guides. The second set of coords in the hint brought me down to a view of the beautiful gardens but in terms of where I should have been were way out. After walking around, browsing the last 5 photo's I ended up back where the first coords originally led me and so began to scratch my head and look again for anything I might have missed.

It was then that for some reason, I looked where we don't often look and found what had been hinted. I took pictures, it was then that a Brazilian girl came down and asked if I could take her photo with her camera. I did so and then it occurred to me I needed a photo of me at GZ so I asked if she minded taking a photo of me with my Blackberry. She obliged and I said it doesn't matter if the pic is rubbish, it's for a game I'm playing. She asked about the game and so I got to explaining Geocaching to her.

I found out she was just over for a week and she lives in New York, we talked about the English weather and how wet it is, as you always inevitably do with foreigners and after a brief chit chat off we went our separate ways - and dare I say it - just might have introduced someone new to geocaching!

Snagged this one after completing Sherlock #3. Not so difficult this time, I lol'd the name of this cache!

The tricky part was hundreds of school trip parties at the first part waiting to go into the Lion King I assume. I was trying not to look like I was hanging around with a camera, looking a bit dodgy. Thankfully I quickly got the clue and made my way further out of range.

Once I got to GZ it was easy enough to work out the author - cool cafe, didn't stop to eat though. The tricky part was then wandering around for what I presumed was one of those circular info plates - which I found, but not the right one, but at least it showed me I needed to do a similar thing, that I did at Sherlock #3 to find it.

Once I found the info, difficult to read but got the email right first time. TFTC!
