Not too difficult - another cool cache container. Great views, this walkabout only gets better. Time for jonwills wife to have a go at using the GPSr, who then asked us to "walk this way"... so we did some funny walks, not sure if the cows were amused. Decided to take the farm route to the next one.

Took the TB.

jonwills geokids found this one, can see they're already developing a strong geosense - and this is the first time they've done it.

Another nice find filled with goodies, for the kids anyway. Great view. The clouds are providing perfect weather for this hike.

Great walk up to it but we seemed to go round the long way around the field. Geokids did swaps. Feeling good about this series so far.

jonwill and family brought us out here for their second caching trip - planned to do a picnic and then do this a few weeks ago. Since it was a cloudy grey day we did the picnic at home first then headed out for this series around 3pm.

Parked as suggested. Nice and easy find for the starter - nice to find an alternative type of micro for a change - well camoflaged. Nice area.

Noted on this cache that there was no log by TipsyTiggers, who we've been following around the Ashley Green series, and now I know why!

May I just add a recommendation to your cache description? No shorts! Everyone was wearing jeans - just as my wife advised me to do this morning - and off they darted into the undergrowth, whilst I followed, tentatively stepping over and around the holly and nettles... then back they come dashing past me to try it from another direction, leaving me to scratch up my legs slowly making my way back to the path.

We then found the geocacher trodden trail that lead down to the beautiful valley. Looked around for a bit in this dark part of the wood and eventually found by jonwill.

Well thanks for the series and nice easy hide to round it all off.

Some things I forgot to mention. jonwill had packed all our drinks and snacks but then left it behind at home and only realised once we'd reached the car park. Thankfully, lots of berries on the trail and we'd brought some water which kept us hydrated.

Also learnt a bit about the rocks from the very knowledgeable jonwill who informed us that a lot of the ground is made up of a lot of chalk and flint. Incidentally chalk holds water and acts as a storage container, which every now and then may reach capacity and it all spills over - which, he theorised, may be the reason for the flooding at Bottom Farm every 7-10 years.

We had 2 people in our party who have had bad experiences with horses (jonwill who was kicked by a horse and my wife who was bitten by one) so this one turned out to be trickier than I think it was meant to be.

I think the horses must be used to Geocachers coming through but it was funny to see their different reactions. There were 2 at first, one just stood stared at us and didn't take his eye off us whilst the other one couldn't care less.

Then another horse, a brown one mosied on over to greet us, I patted him on the nose. Then as we made our way across and under the trees another couple of horses galloped over. I guess they wanted to see what was going on.

2 more horses met us under the trees and freaked the geowife out, but I think she was more panicked than they were, and we passed without incident.

Got to GZ and then dived on the nearest stump with one of the geokids, whilst everyone else was stood some distance away from us holding the cache and waving it at us from where they had already retrieved it.

Log is full, but we found some whitespace to sign.

Hey, what's with the sudden turn to evilness?

Such a great series so far... I think this has to be one of the best hides I've done. In fact, I must thank you as it enabled me to find another one before everyone else.

Actually what's funny is I went over to that spot and shone my torch in the place, I even noticed the odd thing that didn't belong there but didn't think anything of it.

Well, I can see you love your hills and your crafty hides.. very enjoyable hike.

I really loved this spot, such a great view.. and it was here I was able to redeem myself from the last 2 caches and my failed find #100.

Everyone else was looking in and around the 'obvious' location whilst I went wide. Spotted not the cache but the thing it was attached to and started pulling. [:D]

After replacing the cache (nice camo again), I finally felt 'the quickening'. Very windy location which was perfect as it provided an excellent breeze - I stretched out my arms and and let it rush over me as we made our way onto the next cache!

Still reeling from the shame of find number 100, the 'force' had yet to 'unleash' another embarrassment on me.

This time I spotted the likely spot and headed down the bank to get there before the others, a little too fast and ended up on my rear, narrowly missing a sharp branch that would have pierced a very delicate part of my body.

jonwill was quick to make a joke that maybe I had "unleashed too much force" and the Geowife made the find.

Right after Sandpit Green, I knew this was going to be my 100th find so I gathered everyone around and gave a little speech that went something like this:

"Now that you've all got a little experience under your belts and know what you're looking for, I want you to know I've been holding back and letting you all get them. But since this is going to be find number 100 for me, it's every man for himself, the competition is on I'm going for this one and now I'm going to unleash the force!"

I was promptly beaten to the cache by one of the geokids. Needless to say, there was much enjoyment and merriment made at my expense.. particularly over the phrase "unleash the force", which, in hindsight, may have been a little over the top.

Found by the geowife who walked right up and grabbed it... I swear she could spot a nano at a 100 paces.

Cows didn't give us trouble.. they were all locked up in the barn drinking their water and giving us the evil eye as we walked past. jonwill was being very funny by kneeling down in the long grass and warning us that it can get very deep in places!

Nice trees for the geokids to climb here. It is kind of tranquil too... reminds me of the Hammondsworth Moor series which is slap bang in between the M25, M4 and Heathrow.

Taking a break from your series on the next cache and going after Hidden Valley.

It's amazing what is hidden in places that you walk past... which is exactly what the wife and I did hunting for this one... but we found GZ eventually and were impressed. Too bad it's just so overgrown.

Came from the north down a little road which we suspect is publicly maintained, but after parking and heading out we were acosted by Farmer Bob "Get orf my laaaaarnd!" Who 'kindly' informed us this was his property and we'd have to go round the other side and walk through the field (1.3km by the way).

Anyway took travel bug and left Bronze Geocoin which wants to visit archaeological sites of interest and I guess this fits the bill - in fact it's the reason we came out here in the first place.

I wonder if security have cottened onto the fact that people seem to be interested in this wall as there is a cctv camera directly on the spot where you need to stand! No problem for me as I walked straight up, snapped a photo with my mobile and kept moving.

Finally found this one 'blind' as I didn't have my GPSr, just before lunch using nothing but 'the force' (well that and the hint and previous logs - actually I came by this one before last week after attempting Wobbly Bridge, but chickened out due to muggle density).

Was followed(?) at first by an official looking muggle, so had to walk past GZ and go sit on the grass and read a bit of my magazine before going round again. Very bold hiding place I must say.

TNSL. No trackables in at this time, but I won't bother looking them up since this seems to be an unacknowledged but very busy TB Hotel as well as a departure lounge for travel to all areas of the globe.

Decided to leave my Trackabulldog GC, and also left Kealani $$ TB. Any chance the next geocacher headed to the US or Europe could take 'Kealani $$' with them?

This one has been the hardest one I've done yet! It required me to summon all my powers of stealth and people-knowledge to make a swift grab. Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Muggles: 5 !!!

I originally intended to bag this as a lunchtime cache n dash on Monday but was completely overwhelmed by the density of the muggle around here. It seemed like the hot weather had brought all the office muggles out to sit on the grass in front of the Tate. Had a quick glance at GZ but couldn't decipher the clue and didn't really do a proper search enough to call it a DNF.

I went back to my office, dejected, thinking I'd return on a cold, wet December day. But 'Wobbly Bridge' just sat there at the back of my mind, taunting me from across the Thames. So I decided to take advantage of the wife being out tonight and go it alone after work rather than catching the tube and heading home before sundown.

I arrived back at GZ as my GPSr beeped to alert me to the dreaded "low batt". No matter, I knew the place, it was deducting where the cache was that was going to be the problem. Oh and that flipping hint! Do you know I spent half my afternoon googling those famous characters trying to find out who they were and what relevance they had to Tate Modern?! It was not until after sitting on the green opposite looking around and going over the names in my head did I then piece the subtle connections together.. 'Har Bl**dy Har' very funny.

Muggles everywhere, tourist muggles, love-bird muggles, shifty looking muggles and one guy sitting with his wife on the grass who kept glancing over at me whilst I did my best to look casual. First I dropped my rucksack and opened it up. I was wearing sunglasses so I rumaged around with my head down whilst I cast my eyes up to scan the wall.. just couldn't see anything - not a glimmer not an suspicious pile of sticks anywhere. I then went to stealth mode 2: talking to myself on my mobile phone. Did that for about 15 mins - talking to myself and raising my voice as muggles walked past. Easier to glance for long periods at the wall, harder to hold a conversation. Then I thought I should give it a break and go try Thorium Lockbox instead. Well that was pointless - muggles there too and it would be even easier to draw attention to oneself.

I came back to GZ and decided to try a different tack. I sat down on the grass and observed my surroundings. Here's the thing, no-one seems to care if you're just sitting there. You can stare at things for a very long time and it will not seem out of place. Plus I still had my shades on - that made it easier. It was after sitting there for 15 mins I clued in on the hint. Then it was just a game of waiting. Man-with-wife muggle still glancing over occasionally was going to make this impossible but I was now focused and determined - then - I spotted a group of Japanese photographer muggles coming up the path and saw my opportunity.

The Japanese photographer muggles gave me the perfect cover whilst I stood behind them and shielded me from the view of man-with-wife. I stood back up and went to GZ. I dropped my bag again and used a combination of talking to someone on the phone whilst searching for something in my bag. I looked up occasionally and looked around like I was totally having a conversation.

Then, the perfect moment came. The only way I can describe it is as though time slowed down, I glanced up no-one looking over from the wobbly bridge, I glanced over man-with-wife looking at wife, Japanese muggles taking photograph, and finally a break in the constant stream of passers-by... I made the grab-of-faith, I swiftly stuck my hand into the hiding place and my fingers clasped the container, swiping it out of there.

I cannot describe the rush of adrenaline and pride as I tucked that cache into my bag and examined the contents.

Took 3x Beaver TBs, left Signal Geolaminate and 2x "where's George" $ bills that I found hitch hiking with another TB.

Well, this one had us trailing all over for 4 different coords at one point. The problem, we discovered, was if you get one wrong then it affects the other numbers too.

We got the number of maple leafs 'wrong' to start with. However, my wife being Canadian herself, would certainly correct you on the number of maple leafs that were there, but myself being pragmatic and British could understand the logic there.

Anyway, we absolutely loved this park, first time here (yet another place... yada yada yada... if it wasn't for geocaching). I'm amazed that such a tranquil place can exist between what is arguably the UK's busiest motorway and airport.

Lots of rabbits - they seemed to be playing a big game of hide and seek darting here and there, when we walked into each area.

Well hidden. 15 mins of head scratching, awful lot of metal - wife found it. Not keen on the hint but we were up for the challenge. TFTC.

Our last cache n' dash on the M5 on the way home to Watford after 4 days camping in Devon + Cornwall. Great hiding place.

The weather was... volatile, the sights were... better when it's sunny, the geocaching was... awesome as always!

Dipping Rav4 TB. TNLNSLT4TC!

Decided to do a bit of night-caching with the Geowife as we were staying overnight in the Marazion Hotel just round the corner.

This was tricky with all the spiders and just small LED torches but we eventually found it - nicely hidden.

Enjoyed reading about the history, didn't know much about this little place apart from the obvious St Micky's Mound opposite, which we walked across to this morning.

Dipping Rav4 TB for miles. TFTC.
