What a fantastic place for a hide! We headed down to this one after doing Summerhouse Way playing field, and admittedly I hadn't looked at the cache page (we go paperless so I usually read when I get to GZ). As we walked down the path I followed the GPSr through a trail into what seemed like an old and overgrown graveyard and pointed Mrs Fitz to the gravestones.
We weren't quite sure of what we'd stumbled into, but we were quite taken by the scene. I took some photo's of the gravestones and Mrs Fitz read them and noted that they were all young when they died, which led her to assume it may be a soldiers graveyard. Well, when getting to GZ and finally reading the cache page how wrong we were.
Cache was found easily enough by me, Mrs Fitz said she "thought it would be there" but that thought didn't translate into action so I beat her to it. No ghosts or zombies were seen or heard from during our excavations but you never know.

GCJRMV: Bones17 (abbots Walkabout)

Well what a great way to introduce us to Abbots Langley! Depending how you look at this is also a great cache for wives or bad one for husbands -- since we just had to stop and look in all the quaint shop windows and the estate agents of course. Parked at the top end of town near the Church, which was ok as it was a Sunday, and headed down towards the first waypoint before realising we had to go back up for the start, Doh!

We got to the church and discovered, as others have noted, that the Rev has changed - but the house number hasn't. For anyone else attempting this cache, don't worry about B as you can still work it out*.

The War Memorial also looked like it was going to be a non-starter due to a lot of the names being eroded off, but Mrs Fitz spotted a newish plaque in front which tells you there is a brass plaque on the inside of the church on the South aisle. The church was open and only a few people in there looking around, so we found the brass memorial easily enough.

Started by looking around for a plaque or notice board but it soon became obvious when you watch where you put your feet.

Easy find, no comment.

Well I've never seen a rocking horse like this before. Too bad me and Mrs Fitz would feel a bit out of place jumping on this now. Having got the final clue we put it all into the Garmin then had a guess at the missing number which isn't too hard to deduct. Final coords set, we headed to the cache.

Some teenage lurkers were hanging around nearby on the swing, but didn't seem interested in us as we skulked into the bushes. Once beyond the park and out of site, very easy to find, but I did have to stop Mrs Fitz from charging into the holy, when I realised there would be an easier way round to GZ.
Cache almost seemed like it was buried - but discovered it was just caked in mud, the contents were dry though.

Great multi, but some of the clues need updating otherwise it seems like the difficulty could be raised by a star - particularly since you're now needing to enter the church for the second stage. Thanks for the hard work in putting this together - I know how much planning one like this takes!

* B is only used once for the final coords - B-F. The coordinate can only be a number from zero-nine so when you remove F from nine you have a smaller range to guess from.

3rd of our trip around the park here. Mrs Fitz couldn't believe it when she saw the outdoor gym. I've seen one in Kings Cross but never tried it.
We made our way to where we both instinctively knew where the cache was hidden. Mrs Fitz sat down while I did the old check my bootlaces trick and grabbed quite easily. Nice rest stop after traipsing through the muddy trails. This park is fantastic, never had this kind of thing when I was a kid. Speaking of which kid lurker was looking over at us with a suspicious eye, but I found a moment when he was distracted enough to turn my back to him, pretend to check in my bag then put the cache back in place.

GC171QJ: Ping!

I solved this one a few months ago, at the same time as The Robot Arm but just didn't get round to plugging in the new coords and going out to find. Had a particularly busy and frustrating weekend but I wanted to get out and do maybe a couple of caches at least just to get over the hump.
It started Friday when Mrs Fitz broke the screen on my netbook through an incident involving a foot getting entangled in a power cord. Not a problem since the hdd can be recovered and we have household insurance. So I ordered a new one from Amazon and paid for express 1 day delivery. Well that never turned up within one day. Then doing some printing of documents I needed quite urgently, our printer ran out of ink. So off I went to Tesco at 8pm in the evening to grab some print cartridges for £40 - only to find when I got back the printer has completely died too, but not until after I had opened the cartridges and slotted them in! At this point I am wondering if Mrs Fitz is using nefarious means to try and get me away from spending too long working on computers?
Approached the area and parked nearby originally thinking I had entered the wrong coords until we read the hint. Approaching the cache I got the distinct sense that this wasn't just any cache, this was an M&S drsolly extra puzzly cache. After meandering around for a little while sighted the container and did the business.
So not a good weekend - but I found your cache. TFTC!

GC20FR9: Just not cricket

Found on the way back from another Solly puzzle in Amersham. It had just started snowing for about 20 minutes, but sadly didn't settle and we had parked some distance away so I didn't have my camera with me. Mrs Fitz did go back and get the car and drive right up to ground zero but by that time the snow had dissipated.
Took a pathetically long time looking for this due to my usual (paperless caching) mistake of entering a keyword from the title of the cache to do a search, clicking on the first result and reading the wrong description/size. Hence we ended up searching around for a magnetic nano hidden high up rather than this small container. At least I realised this mistake before driving away as I have done before and the cache was almost immediately in hand. Doh!
Nice to find a container large enough for travel bugs, and now I can drop the final two I had in my possession and be bug free for a little while. TFTC!
